![]() ![]() Excavators are much more friendly, using bushings. When they wear, you have to machine them for a slightly bigger pin, or remove material or whatever. Most of the tractor/loaders don't have bushings, just pin on steel. Anyway the pin goes through the bucket, and is supposed to keep the pin from rotating inside the bucket pin holes, which reduces or eliminates wear in the pin holes on the bucket side, and placing the wear on the stick's bushings (which are replaceable). The bushings are in the stick, normally have to beat them out-takes some force, kinda pressed in.Ġ40's have a bolt holding the pin don't they? I forget.the last few I did were KX080's, which had about a 5/8" dia spring pin, aka "roll pin".pain in the neck. Grease the fittings OFTEN and grease the snot out of it. Those o-rings keep the grease in and help reduce the amount of dirt/water/etc that get into the pin/bushing area. From what I have gathered through a few hours of internet searches is that the Deere 490 buckets seem to be compatible with the 120C. These dimensions do not appear to be easy to find. An quick coupler for an 4tonn excavator cost about 450 usd and the connection for the bucket about 70usd if you dont want to make it your self. The change of bucket is also really easy, and its done in seconds. They still wear, just not nearly as quickly as they would if the washers are not shimmed pretty tight and the o-rings gone (which is very common). I am interested in finding out the pin size, buck ear to ear dimension, and center to center for the two pins for a 2003 Deere 120C. If you have buckets from before cut off the ears and weld on the connection. Optional side cutters are available for all. They are used for digging in a broad range of materials, including dirt, clay, and rock. This also helps keep the pin from wearing, as well as the bushings. You can put more than one washer in there to take up the slack, that's what they are for.
