![]() ![]() Only difference that the Brave OS will be making is that all of these softwares will be preinstalled while the Brave OS is meant to be used for the first time, cutting down the time of software installations of Brave themes (as it will be replaced windows desktop themes) and Brave Antivirus (as it will be fully replaced windows defender antivirus)… Were you referring to the Brave themes, Brave antivirus and Brave VPN made for the customized version of windows 11(Brave OS) ? All these softwares are independent softwares that are separated from Brave OS… Meaning, People can Still download and install all of these softwares on Windows 11 if they really wanted it and they are not subjected to Exclusivity. The only solution I see now is to buy yet another license directly from you.Commercial usage applies only if Brave charges people for “Brave OS” where Brave team attempts to make people buy “windows license key/fee” as well as their own charge like 99$+ or higher, so while brave OS will be supplied completely for free and only necessity is “windows key” which is just a general necessity as it is in stock windows, i dont see the “commercial use” violation or such… Microsoft still gets their full fee and brave isnt trying to make any profit from the base os, so what’s wrong here ?Īs is said, Microsoft gets 100% of their Money and Brave team won’t be doing anything shady behind the scenes to convert the windows key business model into something to their own, so there is nothing to violate, i believe. And when BM doesn't hear anything, nothing is going to happen. They are silent, invisible, accepting, and do. But Apple Store users just sit there, not being able to upgrade. I found it surprising that with the vast amount of Resolve users, this issue isn't more widely discussed every time BM releases a new update!? Every time Resolve releases a new version, the internet explodes with tutorials, comments, thoughts, and reviews. However, my search for helpful Google results turned up empty, except for my own original question. I was trying to find a way to switch from the slow upgrade cycle of the Apple Store to the faster world of BM-updates. What is even more surprising is that no one seems to be in a similar predicament as me, considering the complete absence of replies to my post!? However, I have not received any response from BM regarding this matter. It has been some time since I posted about the puzzling thought patterns of BM developers who do not urge their superiors to allocate just 5 minutes to create a license transfer feature. No licenses for Apple users ready to use 18.5 in a looooong time. I'm still on the Apple Store-Studio version. Time to upgrade to 18.5 Beta! Woho! Thrilled to use the new tools! This have to be a super common issue for everyone who has a control panel AND has bought Resolve on App Store? That combination should create enough support tickets for BM to fix a simple license transfer-solution in 5 minutes of coding? Or what am I missing? But since it's not possible to transfer license from App store to the direct-download-from-Blackmagic-version, I'm stuck. If you need these features, please download DaVinci Resolve 17 from the Blackmagic Design support website." The Mac App store version of DaVinci Resolve 17 works with Metal and OpenCL only, does not support some external control panels, and may not be compatible with all 3rd party OpenFX or VST plugins.
